{"id":993,"date":"2023-07-27T02:46:41","date_gmt":"2023-07-27T02:46:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/baca.my\/?post_type=teacher&#038;p=993"},"modified":"2023-07-27T02:49:34","modified_gmt":"2023-07-27T02:49:34","slug":"thomas-verbal","status":"publish","type":"teacher","link":"https:\/\/baca.omrkhyym.com\/en\/teacher\/thomas-verbal\/","title":{"rendered":"Thomas Verbal"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Thomas holds a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Design from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elisava.net\/en\">ELISAVA Barcelona School of Design and Engineering<\/a>, a Master\u2019s degree in Visual Sociology at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gold.ac.uk\/\">Goldsmiths University of London<\/a> and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCEi) at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nottingham.ac.uk\/\">University of Nottingham<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As graphic designer, Thomas is specialised in the areas of editorial (printed and digital publications), audio-visual and innovation design. Thomas has worked in collaboration with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.barcelona.cat\/en\/\">Municipality of Barcelona<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/ajuntament.barcelona.cat\/museudeldisseny\/en\">Barcelona Design Museum,<\/a> NGO <a href=\"https:\/\/www.refugeeyouth.org\/about-us\/\">Refugee Youth<\/a> in London, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cgtn.com\/\">CGTN<\/a>, and more recently as freelancer for environmental projects with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.green-pact.org\/\">Greenpact<\/a> Design and Engineering S.L. As educator in China, Thomas has taught Art and Design for three years in the High School of Beijing International Studies University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2021, Thomas joined BACA as<strong> <\/strong>Graphic Design teacherto teach research methods, design fundamentals and tutorise students interested in studying Graphic and Media Design, Interaction and User Experience Design among other design fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With his students, Thomas believes in self-expression and collaborative learning, enabling them to get enough self-confidence and skills to expand their limits and work as professional design-thinkers.
